13,000 SF redevelopment of a former grocery store, retail storefronts, and a rooming house.
Land assemblage started in August 2011 and the store was completed and opened for business in September 2013.
A complex assemblage was completed from various private and public parties involving ground leases, leasehold interests, and a variety of property types. A portion of the property is under a long-term lease from the City of Evanston. A comprehensive Special Use Permit was approved to accommodate the City and Trader Joe’s.
The new store is serving the community well.
